It's Been Quite a Year

Some of you who have followed this blog know that I can get very contemplative at times and go on and on about little things. I am going to fight the urge to do that tonight. This isn't the time or place for me to start waxing philosophical! So I will try to keep this short and I will refrain from preaching!

It has been said that every person we meet changes our life in some way. Along that note, I want to thank each and every one person who touched my life this year. I also would like to thank those of you who trusted me with your children--from the 25 original Loopers who are now shining in middle school to the 23 who have entertained me thus far during this looping go-around. There is so much good in each person, if we only take the time to look for it!

In closing the year, I want to wish all readers a happy, hearty, and healthy 2009.

First Week of December

It is December! Only a few more days of school until Christmas break. Where does the time go? Unbelievable!!

This week in class, the students are writing letters to Santa. They are asking Santa for a few items that they absolutely have to have! Of course it is a lesson in writing a persuasive paper, so students had to tell Santa why they deserve to be on the "Nice List" this year (or how they will get on the "Nice List" next year if this year is a lost cause!). We will add those here on the blog in a couple of weeks.
